Mexican company executives’ predictions for output, capacity utilization, employment, and inventory in the short, medium, and long-run by the Monthly Survey of Business Opinion (EMOE). In addition, the survey examines participants’ predictions about the general economic situation and how that situation may affect business activity. The EMOE has a national reach and is measured on a scale of 0 to 100, with values above 50 indicating optimism, levels between 50 and 100 neutrality, and levels below 50 indicating pessimistic sentiment.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MXN while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MXN.
