BOULDER — The Travis Hunter Heisman Train could soon be getting back on track.

Hunter, the Buffs’ two-way star, “should play, for certain” at Arizona on Saturday, coach Deion Sanders said during a news conference Tuesday.

The junior cornerback/wide receiver left CU’s home loss to Kansas State last weekend after taking a hit to his upper body with 8:08 left in the second quarter.

ESPN reported at the time that Hunter’s right shoulder was being examined. The Georgia native didn’t return.

The Buffs finished the game with Colton Hood at cornerback, who later returned an interception 59 yards.

Hunter was one of three CU receivers who left the K-State game with an injury.

Another, Jimmy Horn Jr., is expected to play in Tucson, Ariz., Sanders said. Omarion Miller, who recently had surgery, is likely out for the season, Coach Prime added.

The Buffs (4-2, 2-1 Big 12) play Arizona (3-3, 1-2) in a Big 12 matchup at 2 p.m. Saturday on FOX. CU is 2-4 at Arizona Stadium since 2000 but 10-5 all-time in visits to Tucson.
