Kazakhstan has the largest economy in Central Asia. By far the most important sector, accounting for 54% of total GDP, the services sector stands out. The major sectors within services are; wholesale and retail trade, as well as motor vehicle and motorcycle repairs, account for 15% of total GDP; transportation, warehousing, information and communication (10%); real estate (9%); and professional, scientific, technical, administrative, and support services (7%). Construction accounting for 7%, agriculture, forestry, and fishing contribute 5% to national wealth, with industry accounting for 34% of total wealth.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the KZT while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the KZT.
